I'd rather Blizzard cracked down hard on all the spammers and boosters ruining the game for others. This guy hardware boxing, I don't see much wrong with it at all. Spammy scumbag boosting communities and services ruin the economy and *filtered* off so many in the game yet little if anything is or has been done by Blizzard to stop them. More and worse damage is done to the economy by boosters and their scummy spamming communities, most of them involved directly in selling services for real money not just gold, along with running actual legions of farming bots, including the worst ones multiboxing with druids farming herbs etc., Same here and I was delighted when Blizzard finally gave us the option to advertise our own personal guilds, login the alt, apply to join, log back in your other characters in the guild and accept the invite from your alt, log back in the alt and accept the guild invitation.
Main reason for the 2nd account was to invite alts into the guild on my main account. In reality, they already sidestepped their original wording when they realized that all the paid accounts getting canceled from multiboxing was a huge ding on the company revenue.
Is it all a "unfair advantage"? That's up to Blizzard to decide. Boxers that are dungeon/raid farming for gear to slap onto a single toon for the purpose of pvp abuse, definitely an issue. The multiboxers that are farming and ruining the economy. None of this would be seen as game breaking, I don't think. Before the level squish, it was helpful for leveling up my alts, but not without its own set of headaches. That was my whole motivation for multiboxing. I have a solo guild, had a hectic schedule, and trying to coordinate times with other players to get even the most basic achievements for the guild was an issue. How people use it, is certainly an issue. Multiboxing on it's own, is not the problem.
